Something for Everyone

“Your blog is weak!” says my friend Bridgette.

“I miss your old blog!” says my own mother.

What’s missing, I believe, is equal parts frequency and personality.  I’ve been busy, and haven’t been able to devote much time to write.  And when I do sit down with the laptop, it’s much easier to recount my most recent run than to delve into stories about the rest of my life.

Mom, is that what you want?  Cheesy stories about suburban life?  Well, perhaps this is for you.

Because my husband has been conditioned is awesome, there were two dozen roses on our dining room table when I got home from work on Friday.  While buying fresh flowers every time he goes to CostCo probably cancels out any savings, I’m OK with it.

If the overt cheesiness makes you want to spew, (Hi, Bridgette!) instead direct your attention to the exquisite decor in the background.  Want a closer look?

Yep, that’s two pairs of almost matching age-group awards (for the record, my trophy is the taller one.)

The wolf mug really brings it all together, don’t you think?

About stillarunner

I used to run. Some days, I even ran fast. Then I got a job. And met a boy. And bought a house. And rescued a dog. And rescued another dog. And went back to school. And created human life. I might not run every day, or even every week. There’s a good possibility that I will never be fast again. But I’m still a runner.
